A micro wedding is a great option for couples who like the vibe of an elopement but would love to include more people in their intimate wedding plans.
A micro wedding is typically a small wedding for 60 or less people. Brickhouse Vineyard is one of a small number of purpose-built micro wedding venues offering packages for couples seeking all the magic of a smaller wedding: combining style and fun, free of stress and filled with love.
Currently, a micro wedding is proving a popular choice for many couples but in essence, it’s just a new phrase to describes the size and vibe of many of the weddings that we’ve been lucky enough to host at Brickhouse Vineyard. Although the rise in the popularity of this search phrase may be relatively new, the concept is one we’ve long embraced and woven into every aspect of our micro wedding packages.
The popularity of micro wedding packages is growing for many reasons: some couples have other financial priorities and so, a limited budget; other couples choose to have a smaller wedding, but retain a larger budget so that they can “go luxe”; and, a more intimate wedding guests list means more time with each of your guests, with everyone fully involved and invested in your day. Feeling you’re truly supported and embraced with love on your wedding day is priceless. We can vouch for the fact that the micro weddings we’ve been fortunate enough to host at Brickhouse Vineyard deliver this “wow” factor that money just can’t buy in buckets!
Other benefits of a micro wedding include: being able to unleash creativity with the styling and content of your special day as smaller weddings offer greater versatility; simpler logistics; no guests you feel “duty bound” to invite; and, most importantly, more enjoyment and less stress.
Brickhouse Vineyard was designed with micro weddings in mind. Approached via winding country lanes through a sweeping rural patchwork of fields and forest, the Brickhouse Vineyard provides a decadent escape from the hubbub of everyday life, yet it’s just 20 minutes from Exeter. On arrival at Brickhouse Vineyard, you’ll travel down the vine-lined drive to the iconic Round House.
The Round House and the newly renovated Barn are at the heart of every micro-wedding, providing panoramic views across the vineyard to the surrounding countryside through floor to ceiling windows that can be opened up to let the outside in as weather permits. In addition, you have use of fabulous outdoor spaces, including: the landscaped terrace for gathering, drinks and the natural wild flower aisle for your entrance; the beautiful vineyard offering unique photography opportunities; the grounds and all that sits beyond in this idyllic corner of Devon.
We’ve created an exclusive-hire micro wedding option for you to celebrate your marriage with your nearest and dearests.
WEDDING CEREMONY & CELEBRATION MEAL – 6-hour hire
This option allows time for your wedding ceremony in the Round House, relaxed canapes and drinks with your guests on the terrace, a photography session in and around the stunning vineyard and grounds, your wedding meal and speeches in the Barn, followed by cutting the cake and your first dance, before carriages at 8pm.
For an extra special touch, Brickhouse Vineyard Wines can be served with your Wedding Breakfast. You can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting at your final planning meeting when purchasing bottles from the vineyard for your special day. On the day, you will be assured of a total privacy as you will have exclusive use of the venue for the duration of your wedding booking.
With both options you’ll benefit from use of the staffed fully licensed bar; our support with wedding planning, ensuring you savour your wedding journey from the moment you book; a dedicated wedding co-ordinator on your wedding day to take care of all the details so you can relax and enjoy every moment of your day; and access to our recommended wedding day service suppliers from our ‘little black book’.
On a practical note, our micro wedding packages include full wheelchair access and facilities; parking for up to 20 cars; ceremony room set-up; use of tables and chairs for your wedding ceremony and the meal; use of glassware for drinks reception and the meal; and use of our in-house Bluetooth sound system.
