How to style your elopement?

by | Mar 12, 2023

A smaller wedding, such as an elopement or micro-wedding, doesn’t mean you have to compromise on style. In fact, an elopement wedding is the perfect opportunity let your personalities shine through, so you can really let your imaginations run wild. With that in mind, we’re bringing you some of our favourite ideas on how to style your elopement wedding to make sure it’s memorable in every single way!

Lots of our couples adore the idea of going all out with their ceremony décor, creating a stunning space to say ‘I Do’ here in the Round House at Brickhouse Vineyard. When it comes to styling this blank canvas space, you could include the addition of a decorative rug, which is something that can also become a keepsake and be used in your home décor after the day itself.

Whether you’re getting married in the midst of the winter months or the height of summer, we think that twinkly fairy lights are a must! They look gorgeous entwined around the original beams of the Round House, instantly offering a romantic and enchanting space for your elopement wedding ceremony.

If you’re following us on Instagram, you’ll have spotted an array of dreamy ceremony arches that our couples have used to style the space. An archway is the perfect way to frame your love story as you exchange your vows, while providing a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photographs. Whether your vibe is boho-inspired, country garden style or modern and industrial, an arch will help to tie your theme in together.

If you’re a fan of flowers, this is your chance to let love bloom! We adore seeing how our couples style their elopement wedding with florals and/or greenery and with a smaller guest list, it’s often easier to allocate more of the budget to spend on wedding flowers. From a statement bridal bouquet brimming with bright, bold blooms or an incredible floral installation hanging from the ceiling, there are so many ways you can add a splash of colour, personality and style to your elopement.

If you’re choosing to wine and dine during your elopement wedding (you can see more about our elopement wedding packages here), consider how you’re going to style your tables. A sweetheart table can be transformed with flowers and candles, or if it’s just the two of you, you could even opt for a picnic style Afternoon Tea surrounded by blankets and decorative pillows for a relaxed feel.
